(Yachats, Oregon) - The Wine Place in Yachats is announcing a full schedule of free wine tasting events during the month of December. Located in the heart of Yachats at Highway 101 and Fourth Street, the shop’s specialty is Oregon wines, with attention given to boutique and small-production wineries. Also featured are craft beers, gourmet foods, cheese, crackers, jam, tea, and a full cupboard of ginger products. Wine by the glass or bottle is available, giving customers the chance to shop and share some wine (above: drama of waves in Yachats).The Wine Place opened an adjoining Art Gallery over Thanksgiving weekend. Local artists currently featured in this shared-space gallery include sculptor Tana Hagen, watercolorist & woodburning artist Pam Parker, scratch artist Karen Hendrickson, photographer Sherrie Powell, contemporary artist Bari McLean, and watercolorist Senitila McKinley.
Wine-tasting guests are able to sample wines and stroll through the gallery just steps away. Saturday afternoons now provide the opportunity for guests to meet and mingle with wine industry professionals as well as artists.All their wine tasting events happen on Saturday afternoons and take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – except for the special New Year’s Eve event. All are free.December 4. Cheap & Cheerful Holiday Wines. Sarah Mader is the special guest for this tasting, and has some surprises in store - starting with bubbly. The Wine Place is located on Highway 101 at the corner of Fourth Street. During December, the shop is open Thursday through Sunday, 11 am – 5 pm or longer, and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday by chance.
