For those people who threw tons of energy into their food after having spent lots of energy throwing their food, Lincoln City is again energizing the food world with another series of intriguing classes.Lincoln City’s Pacific Coast Center for Culinary Arts hosts two big ones this month, including guest chef stints from Pelican Pub in Pacific City and the chef from Gold Beach nugget Tu Tu Tun Lodge.Ken Henson, General Manager of Pelican Pub & Brewery in Pacific City will teach a class on Springtime Vegetarian Cookery at Lincoln City’s Pacific Coast Center for Culinary Arts. The class will be held on Saturday April 19, and will run from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Chef Henson will demonstrate to participants how to incorporate vegetarian items into their diet, without sacrificing flavor or excitement. Using mainly fresh-local ingredients, Chef Henson plans to reinvent how you feel about vegetarian meals! This class is a full-day hands-on course, comfortable shoes are recommended. The cost for this full-day hands-on course is $90 per person.

During this full day class, Chef Wills will teach about the astounding history and “culture” of cheese, one of the world’s most highly coveted foods. For this one lesson, cheeses from over 10 countries have been imported for purposes of tasting, smelling and preparation techniques.
