David Tuohy, of White House Road, Oxford, has been charged with four counts of sexual assault and four counts of a serious sexual offence.
The charges relate to a boy under the age of 13.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in the mid-1970s at Eccles Hall School, Quidenham, near Attleborough.
The school is now known as the New Eccles Hall School.
Mr Tuohy was bailed to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
Big Brother star Victor Ebuwa has been charged with two counts of common assault, it has been reported. The reality star was arrested after attacking two men who mocked his appearances on the Channel 4 show, the News of the World reports. The alleged incident happened in bar The Minories, East London on Friday, October 15.
A source explained: "Insults were hurled and then punches were thrown and one of the victims was left with a busted nose."
A City of London Police spokesman said: "Victor Ebuwa, of Hackney, is due to appear before City of London Magistrates on the 23rd of November charged with two counts of common assault."

More than 760 people have joined a Facebook group set up in memory of the teenager, who was also known as Sylvester Da Donappa.
He was found bleeding to death on the fourth floor of Heron House on the Pelican Estate and had been shot in the neck and chest.
